MARINE STRONG WIND WARNING FOR ALL COASTAL WATERS OF VANUATU! Southeasterly winds 21/30 knots with rough to very rough seas from 2.5 to 3.0 meters. Low to moderate southeast and southwesterly swells expected.

Sea travelers and mariners are urged to consider safety actions as such winds can produce dangerous wave conditions which are hazardous to small boats and small vessels. People are advice to take extra precautions and always listen to all media outlets for latest or related warnings.

SEVERE WEATHER WARNING FOR INLAND WINDS OVER MALAMPA, SHEFA & TAFEA PROVINCE!! Southeasterly winds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour are expected to affect these Provinces. People are advised to take extra precautions against flying debris, falling fruit from trees, and falling dry branches in the affected areas.

Minor eruption at Ambae volcano

The volcanic activity on Ambae is at the level of minor eruption. The Ambae Volcanic Alert Level is raised to Level 3. Ambae volcano activity remains confined in the Lake Voui. The volcanic hazards zone remains limited at the Danger Zone B which is about 3 km radius from the active vent in lake Voui
