At 5:00pm local time today, a tropical low (1000 hPa) was located near 14.3S 170.7E. The tropical low is positioned at the centre right of square letter K, number 5 (K,5) of the Vanuatu tropical cyclone tracking map. This is about 290 KM east northeast of Maewo. The potential for the tropical low to become a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours and move towards the Vanuatu group is low. The system is slow moving in the southeasterly direction at 23 KM/HR.
