Tsunami info

“Tsunami” comes from the Japanese language: “tsu” means “harbor” and “nami”means “wave”. It is a series of large ocean waves caused by sudden disturbances in the water, usually due to underwater earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or landslides. Unlike regular waves, which are caused by wind, tsunamis travel at high speeds across vast distances and can grow in height as they approach shallow coastal areas.
