MARINE WIND WARNING OVER ALL COASTAL WATERS OF VANUATU.

Easterly and Southeasterly winds of 21/25 knots with rough seas to 2.5 meters over all coastal waters of Vanuatu. Poor visibility in showers of rain is expected over parts of northern waters of Vanuatu. Sea travelers and mariners are urged to consider safety actions as such winds can produce dangerous wave conditions which are hazardous to small boats and small vessels. People are advice to take extra care and always listen to all media outlets for latest or related warnings.

Minor eruption at Ambae volcano

The volcanic activity on Ambae is at the level of minor eruption. The Ambae Volcanic Alert Level is raised to Level 3. Ambae volcano activity remains confined in the Lake Voui. The volcanic hazards zone remains limited at the Danger Zone B which is about 3 km radius from the active vent in lake Voui
